Caramel Apple Sangria. YUM!

So I made this a few months ago for myself a couple friends to enjoy together, and let me tell you… it was a HIT! Everyone was asking how i made it! And i’ve actually made it a few more times since then, for will and I to have at home!

It’s SUPER easy, and so yummy!!
Perfect for the fall and winter months!
*Or any time 😉

Ingredients:

SERVING: 12
PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES

1 ONE LITER BOTTLE OF WHITE WINE.  Any white wine works — but I prefer something crisp, and not too sweet …like a pinot gri or a sauv. blanc.
8 CUPS OF APPLE CIDER. Any fresh apple cider will work.
1 CUP VODKA. I like to use caramel flavor but you can use plain, vanilla, whipped, etc instead. *Try different kinds to your liking, to adjust sweetness and flavor profile.
4 APPLES, CHOPPED. Any type of apple will work – I prefer a sweet, slightly tart apple. I use honey crisp or gala the most, but use your favorite kind of apples and experiment making it different ways.
1/4* CUP CARAMEL SYRUP, OR TOPPING: Use to taste, as this adds more sweetness. Use more for later to drizzle, swirl, rim, or garnish the glass when served. (Its SO good if you rim the glass with the caramel syrup and cinnamon sugar 😉

1. Begin by cutting the apples into chunks/slices.

2. Add the apples to the bottom of a large pitcher. Next, drizzle the caramel syrup liberally over top.

3. Add white wine and vodka to the pitcher.

4. Top with the apple cider, then stir well to combine. Refrigerate and serve or Prep it the day before and refrigerate overnight prior to serving.

5. Serve chilled or over ice, in a glass first swirled with caramel, and/or drizzled over top!

How to Serve This Beautiful Beverage:

I like to serve this by first swirling the glass with a bit of caramel. Serve the sangria chilled, with or without ice. You can also add apple slices to the glass white drinking, or keep them in the pitcher/decanter just serving the beverage itself.

  1. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup to the bottom of the glass.
  2. Tip the glass at a 45°-ish angle, and turn the glass in a circle while swirling to coat the sides.
  3. Once filled with sangria and topped with added apples, and drizzle with additional caramel syrup if you’d like!

Want to prep it the night before? Or early in the morning before a party later that day? We can do that! Its best chilled 4-24 hours prior, because the longer the flavors meld together the yummier this sangria tastes… You’ll get more of the apple taste coming through to balance the sweetness with the crispness. (The sooner you serve the more caramel flavor you’ll taste.) BUT you can totally make soon before hand as well to enjoy! **For examine: you can make a quick single batch if you’re having craving like i have been…..weekly, lol – but seriously 😉 Just slice up and apple, pour in half wine, half apple cider drizzle some caramel and enjoy your drink with your sliced soaked apple slices as a snack 😉

You can also save the leftovers for up to three days when stored in a sealed jar or pitcher in the refrigerator.
